Enough

Today I am feeling like I cannot

kiss him enough,

hold him close enough,

sing with him enough,

snuggle him enough,

read to him enough,

pat him enough,

rock him enough,

love him enough.

 

Have you ever felt that way?

Like you just want to hold your little so close

to feel the beat of their heart,

to breathe the perfume of their skin,

to hear the rhythmic purr of their breath.

 

It's one of those eyes closed, deep breath snuggles,

that bonds a mommy and her baby,

and I just can't get enough.
